THINGS TO DO IN THE VEGE GARDEN

THINGS TO DO IN THE FLOWER GARDEN
-Time to prepare for winter plantings of your favourites winter annuals. For best results dig in Kings Organic Compost and general garden fertiliser.
-Flowers to plant: Ageratum, alyssum, aquilegia, arctotis, bellis, calendula, cineraria, cornflower, dianthus, forget-me-not, hollyhock, lobelia, nemesia. pansy, polyanthus, primula, violas and other winter favourites.
-Lift Dahlia tubers and gladioli corms and store in a dry place.
-Cut back daisies, geraniums and others that have finished flowering.
-Trim perennials, lift and divide.

THINGS TO DO IN THE FRUIT GARDEN
-Feed your citrus trees with Kings Citrus Tree Fertiliser as they make prolific growth now. Thin out big clusters of fruit to improve fruit quality.
-Spray pip and stone fruit with Yates Champ Dp. Its also a good time to prune stonefruit trees and seal with pruning paste. Do these things after leaf-drop has begun. Watch out for mildew on Tamarillos as they reach maturity. Spray with Yates Fungus Fighter.
GENERAL INFORMATION
-Sow new lawns NOW. Kings have all you need. Just ask our knowledgeable staff for assistance. This is also a good time to top-dress existing lawns.
-Now is good time to mulch, as it will help insulate the soil and keep it warm. Spread a thick layer of Kings Compost around the drip line of trees and shrubs, taking care not to cover the trunk of the tree.
-Aternatively, you could try the Pea Staw and Lucerne mulch. This mulch has the added bonus of adding nitrogen to the soil.
