With the stunning weather we had through the month of April, my garden is starting to look in good shape. The roses have been deadheaded after a late flush of flower and the vegetable garden is growing like wildfire. Cabbages that I planted two weeks ago have doubled in size.

Its a great time to plant Cyclamen as they really enjoy the cooler weather. Planted in a semi-shaded part of the garden or enjoyed inside, they will flower for months.

The key to keeping these looking great as a flowering house plant is to place them in a cool position in the house. It you have heating going at night, place the Cyclamen on an outside porch so that they are in the cold but not rain.

Deadhead old flowers by plucking the whole stem upwards. New flowers will continue to form over the coming months.
